| Distributor platesThis is a key component for the accuracy of your seeding. At EBRA, instead of the plastic used on cheaper brands, we’ve chosen aluminium plates. This way, even the thinnest plates (those used for small seeds) don’t warp or deform – even the smallest seeds cannot get in behind the plate. |
| Perhaps the most versatile seed-drill in the worldWe have distributor plates for an absolutely unbelievable range of seeds. From the smallest of seeds (parsley, carrot), to the biggest (large beans and even small bulbs), from the most regular (peas or round beans) to the most difficult to sow (parsnip, scorzonera/black salsify or broad beans), EBRA seeders can sow almost any seed, uncoated or coated. In addition, you can also choose a plate that can take several seeds together, for pocket sowing. |
| Code defining the type of seed-plateNumber on the left: Number of notches, holes or teeth on the plate
E.g. 40 notches around the edge of the plate.
Middle letter: Code that defines the type of plate
P: notches – A: large notches – R: teeth – T: long holes - B: round holes – M: star-shaped – F: broad-bean plates –OC: plates for little bulbs (lengths 8-14 mm)
Number on the right: Depending on the plate, this is the thickness of the plate, the diameter of the hole or the size of the notch. |
| How to choose your platesThe table below gives you the specifications for the type of plate that you may require. An important factor here is that for certain crops, you have the choice between a specific plate (which is very efficient for that seed) but not necessarily versatile (because it’s been designed specifically for the seed in question). So, you may prefer to choose a more versatile plate, but which will be a little less accurate for a given seed variety. |
| EBRA at your serviceThere are really several parameters to be taken into account when you’re choosing your plate and it’s difficult to summarize everything in a table. The best thing to do is to make a list of the crops you’d like to sow, then prepare your selection of plates using the table below, and finally contact us to finalize your choice. We will do everything we can to satisfy you, taking your interests into account, not simply advising you to buy as many plates as possible. That’s
the EBRA spirit! |
